What we do
Agora offers sales and marketing services to food and drink producers, helping them establish and fortify their routes to export markets.
Our expertise in business development and our experience in logistics, sales and account management allow us to offer tailored services to clients of all sizes.
We work across a number of categories, from fresh and frozen seafood, meat, fruit and vegetables to dry goods, oils and preserves.
Our trade contacts mean we can bring your products straight to the attention of key decision makers in the retail, wholesale and foodservice industries in Ireland, the UK and on the continent. Recently, we have also developed links with some of the largest players in the retail and foodservice industries in the Middle East, North Africa and China.
We also work closely with a number of importers in Italy and the Benelux countries, managing a portfolio of Irish-sourced goods for them. In many cases, we help our clients source the products they need in the pricerange they require.
Who we are
- Paul McPhillips has 12 years business experience in Ireland and Italy. He participated in the Bord Bia Marketing Fellowship in 2010-2011, bringing a range of Irish products to market on the continent for the first time. He has experience in the meat, seafood and dairy sectors as well as an interest in logistic problem-solving. He has direct access to key retailers and food-service companies in the UK, Europe and, recently, also the Middle East and North Africa.
- Marcella Festa has occupied various buying positions across a number of categories for leading Italian and French retail chains. Her experience encompasses both the food and non-food sectors. Most recently, she has been involved in the import of Italian food and drink products into Ireland and the UK and has developed close relationships with leading retailers in the Irish market, as well as major distributors into the catering trade.
